It should be totally acceptable to tell a begger to “get a job”

For some reason people seem to think it’s not okay to tell a panhandler to get a job. Just like it’s ok to tell a friend “get a job you need the money” but if a homeless person comes up telling you to get a job sounds like you believe your superior to them. Why should you be able to demand money from me just for existing and being generous with my hard earned money. I sound like an AH but I believe if someone asks me for money they should be told to get a job or get an education or better themselves. No one owes them anything, everyone has to work to get money. If your so poor you have to be on the streets begging for money, why aren’t you spending that time looking for a job, even if it’s just a temp agency?
