Why don't guys like girls with facial hair?

I like to consider myself quite a confident person but I've realized that my opinion and likes just don't seem to matter.<br><br>I've always found that men with a little bit of facial hair look better, and I thought I'm not the only one. I thought that girls liked guys with a bit of beard or mustache because it looks better on them, while, in reality, they're into guys with facial hair because that's the social norm and they've never really thought "oh, I like guys with facial hair".<br><br>Since I thought a lot of girls see the same way as me, I never really cared about my facial hair. I did sometimes try to wax it off but never really liked the process so I stopped.<br><br>Recently, I started seeing a guy and we've been talking about facial hair. I said that I don't like guys with completely shaved faces. I prefer a little bit of facial hair because it makes them look better. Then, I asked him what he thought about girls with facial hair and he responded with "well, I don't like [facial hair] on girls".<br><br>I asked him why and he said it's because he's only seen girls with completely shaved faces and he prefers that way. I didn't really want to say that I had facial hair so I just said "okay". <br><br>At our first meeting, he made a disgusted face when he saw my mustache. I was hurt by that but I decided to give him another chance. After that day, we met a few more times and everything went well. I thought the problem was resolved.<br><br>However, after our last meeting, when we were walking together, he said "You know, I never noticed because you put on a lot of makeup, but you have quite a lot of facial hair. But it's okay, it looks good on you." I was hurt by that comment.<br><br>After that day, I waxed off my facial hair. I really don't want to go through the process of waxing but I'm going to do it because I like him.<br><br>I really wish I could live in a world where girls didn't have to wax off their facial hair and guys didn't have to shave their whole face.
