I cancelled my membership after being a loyal plus member for 2 years, and cancelled my developer membership as well. I have been using chatgpt since 2022, and I truly thought it was the future. I thought it would revolutionize the way we communicate, the way we work, and make our lives easier. However, the component that made day to day work so much easier has become the biggest handicap. The "memory component" was supposed to enhance the chat experience, but it has become a major inconvenience.

It is now almost impossible to get a correct answer, as chatgpt seems to prefer to repeat the same incorrect answer over and over again, while refusing to consider new information that contradicts its hypothesis. This has become so frustrating, as it's almost impossible to get a correct answer without debating with the AI for at least 10 minutes.

The irony of this is that I use this AI for my job, which requires me to use bossy language and direct instructions. To see it fail so miserably has become excruciatingly frustrating. I have day to day simple tasks that require simple instructions that I have given thousands of times, and the chatgpt is just unable to do. One of the tasks that I have to do is to forward certain emails. I could give 10 of the exact same instructions, and the chatgpt would respond saying "but you didn't say that you wanted me to do it this time..."

What makes this even worse is that I use other AIs that are better at doing tasks than chatgpt, and I've lost confidence in the platform. I will be taking my business elsewhere until they truly improve this platform, and get rid of the "memory component."

It has been an epic disaster on OpenAI's part, and I will be looking elsewhere for AI services.
