People from anywhere else in the world: what’s the weirdest thing about traveling in the US?

I’ve been to a few places in Asia and Europe, but there are a few things that strike me as weird when I travel around the US. Here are my top 5:

1. So many dead animals. Bugs are one thing, but I saw 31 dead animals on one drive. All but three were opossums.
2. Every fast food place has a “30% off your first order” code. On the mobile app, website, and when you pick up your order.
3. So. Many. Grocery. Stores. I was just driving through a middle-of-nowhere Kansas city and found a Walmart, target, and some other one. The Walmart and target had a grocery store (target has some groceries but when I say it had a full grocery store, I mean it had a full grocery store attached to the target) and the other one had two more grocery stores.
4. Some places have tax on groceries. Maybe we’re all Walmart and we just ate it, I don’t know.
5. There are a ton of half empty shopping centers. There’s no one in the parking lots, but they’re all still open. In my area, it’s just the mall itself with an empty parking lot. The nearby strip centers aren’t much better.

So, what are some things you (People from other countries) find weird about traveling in the US?

Edit: I have no idea why this is being downvoted. I know why “what’s weird about [country]” threads are frowned upon, but it’s from a completely different perspective. If someone is going to move here, they should know what to expect. If someone is going to visit, they should know what to expect. In both cases, there is no reason to be malicious.
