Spoilers ahead. I'm an elementary school teacher. But I had some time off and wanted to watch a Netflix show so I watched the teen movie "Do Revenge". It's about two teenage girls Olivia and Drea who become best friends and plan on taking revenge on the people who wronged them.

For contrast, I grew up in the 90s and attended high school in the 2000s. There was definitely rumors and bullying, but not to the level of which they were in this show. I don't think I've ever witnessed bullying as bad as it is in this show.

The bullying in this show is so dramatic and there's so many other issues that come out of it. I don't think the bullying would get that bad without a teacher intervening. Or if it did, the bully would likely get in trouble at home or at least have to apologize. There just seemed to be a lot happening without anyone getting consequences.

I was also shocked at how involved the parents were, but also how hands off the school administration and teachers were. There was a lot of bullying that happened in the school and nobody did anything. I get that the show was fictional, but wow.

I also didn't get the "revenge" aspect. It just seemed like a lot of drama and not really as much revenge as I thought. I'd like to think that if I were my high school age again, I would just ignore people that were mean to me. Not really sure what else to say about that, but it just didn't really make sense.

I liked the vibe of the movie, but it did seem to drag on a lot. Also, I'm a lot older than a teenager, so it's probably not really for me. I did like the atmosphere and I liked the characters. It was easy to watch. It was a little confusing at the end. There just seemed to be so many plot changes that didn't make sense.

Overall, I'd give the show a 6/10. I just watched it because I had time off from work. I enjoyed it, but it's definitely overhyped.
