I recently started a economics course in college, and I was really enjoying it. The concepts of markets, economic growth, personal finance, etc. really interested me. I did some research, and discovered that probably the one field in which Jews have been proportionally overrepresented is economics.

Of the 88 Nobel Prizes in Economics awarded since 1969, 28 perceent have gone to Jews, with three of the 2020 awards going to Jews.

This fact really turned me off to the field. Who would want to be part of a field where their work is being heavily influenced by a certain branch of people.

But I still find the subject interesting, and now find it awkward to be studying it. Any thoughts on this?

EDIT: I am Jewish
