Is the western conifer seed bug one of the most persistent, most impractical insects in the world?

They constantly find a way into the house yet they cannot fly? How tf?<br><br>They crawl into every nook and cranny but are so skittish and run away when you try to catch them.<br><br>They don’t seem to be a pest nor do they seem to be beneficial. What is the purpose of these disgusting creatures?
