If you work with food, do not be afraid to ask your supervisor or manager if you can take home a meal. Depending on the place you work, they'll let you take home a meal each shift, or at least give you a discount + tip.

I used to work in a kitchen and they would let me take home a meal at the end of my shift as long as I was eating 'in house'. This isn't standard practice, especially at chain restaurants. Always worth asking though. Also, some places will give you a 50% employee discount, but they'll also expect you to tip. Just FYI<br><br>Edit: You guys have depressed the hell out of me
