Back in 2006, my dad and I took a road trip to Quebec City and Montreal, and while rummaging through a giant antique store, I came across a taxidermied owl.

I was immediately drawn to it and decided that I NEED to have it.

It was about 8 inches tall and 6 inches wide, and was in decent condition. The shopkeeper told me that it had been there for years and didn't sell it because it was "too weird". I bought it for about $30, and then had to lug it around in a backpack for the next 4 days.

I named it Professor Hootenanny, and it now proudly sits next to my desk as a somewhat creepy but lovable souvenir.

What's the weirdest thing you've ever bought from a trip?
