We're Changing Our Name

Thank you everyone for your input! Overall, you were pretty divided on every single option, but the clear winner was **Anti-Socialism Subreddit.**<br><br>However, that's not exactly what we went with. The name is now **/c/AgainstSocialism.** I want to explain why we went with that instead.<br><br>**Anti-, Hyper-, Ultra-, Counter-, and Other Prefixes:**<br>For the most part, the other prefixes just had too many negative connotations or were too obscure, and we really wanted something that you could explain to someone in real life and they would know what we meant. "Anti-" works the best for us because it's widely used and understood, but it's a little bit of a mouthful and it's already taken.<br><br>**Against Counter Culture:**<br>Counter culture typically has anti-establishment and progressive sentiments. Going against that is just way too ironic.<br><br>**Against:**<br>"Against" can have a strong negative connotation, but it's overall more positive than "anti-", and it's short and sweet. The best part is that it can be used as a verb, so you can say "I'm against socialism" and it means the same thing.<br><br>**Socialism Subreddit:**<br>We didn't end up changing it to just "socialism", because we're not just against socialism, we're against other forms of authoritarian leftism. We just used shorthand for our old name because it rolls off the tongue better than "Marxism Leninism Maoism."<br><br>**TL;DR:**<br>Our new name is /c/AgainstSocialism.
