We could be anywhere

My house is surrounded. Every window is lined with them, hundreds sometimes thousands. I just made my first lamp out of them. I get them in my food, in my bath water, biting me. I know I am not the only one. Why do they thrive? What is their point? We are the ones that are here to ask the questions. They are the ones with the answers.
