Went to Israel for the first time, only got to stay for a week, so that's about 1,050 times better than Jews who were in Europe during the 1940's.

A lot of firsts on this trip, first time on a plane, first time in Israel, first time meeting my Israeli cousins, first time in the holy land, first time in Tel Aviv, first time in Jerusalem, first time seeing the wailing wall, first time seeing my favorite Israeli soccer team live, first time being in a city under missile fire, first time in a bomb shelter (not great), first time seeing a bunch of mushrooms pop up from the ground after a rocket explodes (even worse), first time seeing some of the most beautiful natural sights in the world such as the Carmel Mountains and Caesarea, first time hearing a rabbi sing in a synagogue while all the worshippers are packing up, first time getting in a bus that stops and all the passengers go to the bomb shelter, first time seeing a town in southern Israel that was recently moved to protect the residents, first time seeing a beach that was previously a slum for migrants and is now an Israeli park (about 90% of migrants end up in Israel illegally and are African immigrants), first time seeing the Israeli coastline south of Tel Aviv, first time seeing Haifa from a high vantage point, and first time seeing the Kotel on Shabbat.

A truly great nation! I can't wait to come back and watch that soccer team again!!
