Verse, a term for the strong-willed and mysterious, was reviled by the warring nations that remained. Only two nations stood out from the reviled people, both of whom were imbued with the power endowments of the Verses.
The Bilighter nation protected the wandering verse from the warring nations willing to take advantage and commit atrocities against the verse. Their army was strong, but nonaggressive as they prioritized defending their own kind before attacking the nations that sought to harm them. The Bilighter nation often worked alongside the Verse to find others and bring them into their nation.
In fact, the only reason the Bilighter nation was formed was to protect the verse, who had faced brutal treatment and suffering before the Bilighter nation was formed.
The Bilighter nation's first Verse was named Ezra, who had three endowments.
Ezra believed that in order to protect the verse, they must work together and stay strong. Ezra knew that fighting back against the nations that wished to harm them would only lead to further division and strife.
Ezra’s endowments allowed him to heal and endow the verse he found, giving them one of three endowments of balance, benevolence, or purity. Ezra’s endowments may be limited, but the verse he endowed with balance, benevolence, or purity had strong endowments.
The second verse was a woman named Astrid. Astrid had a total of nine endowments of strength, speed, agility, flexibility, agility, beauty, wits, spellwork, or leadership.
Astrid believed that the verse should be trained and taught how to defend themselves. Astrid was convinced that by doing so, the verse would be better equipped to protect themselves and their nation from harm.
Astrid worked tirelessly to strengthen the verse that Ezra found. Astrid was a fierce warrior who even taught the children of the verse how to defend themselves.
She believed that the verse should be free to live their lives as they saw fit, without fear of persecution or harm. Astrid was a strong advocate for the rights and freedoms of the verse, and worked tirelessly to promote understanding and acceptance between the verse and the warring nations.
Astrid's endowments were passed to the verse through training and mentorship, allowing them to develop their strengths and abilities.
The two of them spent their lives trying to protect the verse and keep them safe. They also allowed warring nations migrants that had no place to go to live in their nation. They had a small army, but the verse and migrants were their top priority.
They believed that by living together in harmony, they could build a brighter future for all.
Many years ago, Ezra and Astrid left the nation to search for a mythical realm where the verse would be safe.
They left the nation with its leaders, consisting of verses and migrants, all trained by Astrid and endowed by Ezra to protect the nation against the warring nations.
Two of Ezra and Astrid’s leaders were Astrid’s husband, Edric, and Ezra’s husband, Lucas.
Years after Ezra and Astrid left, a young girl named Aria stumbled upon the nation. She had not seen another verse in decades and was excited.
Aria was immediately trained by Edric, who was happy to teach someone new that reminded him of him and Astrid when they first met.
As Aria trained, Edric was pleased that even without endowments Aria was a natural.
The people of the nation were also happy to train her.
Edric was excited to have someone to endow after so long, but realized that Edric and the other leaders did not inherit the endowing of Ezra.
So Edric, knowing that Aria was a verse, resolved to find Ezra so that his endowments were not lost and so that the verse could continue to be trained with endowments.
Now, Edric, Aria, and a group of trained guardians and migrants set out in search of Astrid and Ezra so that they could find the mythical realm and protect the verse.
They first need to find the last known location of Astrid and Ezra.
Their first lead is a city on a coast.
The city was abandoned a couple of years after Astrid and Ezra left.
The city is haunted, and the warring nations have left the city alone for decades.
The group enters the city, hoping to find a clue.
All of a sudden, Aria stops. She sees a dark man of unimaginable height and strength. He is wearing black armor and looks menacing.
Edric, who has not seen a verse in decades, is shocked.
The group readies to fight.
The dark man, or verse, glares at them without a word.
He had been waiting for them.
What is happening…#####Any suggestions or ideas are welcomed!!!
