What would you do if a student said, "I am going to come to your house and shoot you and your family."

I had a student threaten me like this. I reported it to the principal and the principal did nothing about it. My best friend is also a teacher at the same school and she says she has heard the student say he is going to come to her house and shoot her. What is the protocol at your school for handling these situations? Do you know the laws about handling these situations? How would you handle it?<br><br>TL;DR: Student threatens to come to teachers houses and shoot them. School admins don't handle it. What would you do and what are the laws about it?
