If you act too confident or try to act superior, people can smell it a mile away and they will hate you

I've noticed a lot of alpha male types have a really lowkey, humble demeanor. Like they're just really down to Earth. They're not condescending, or act superior, or overbearing in anyway. It's weird, because if you told me that was the definition of being an alpha, I'd assume they would act more assertive or powerful, or dominant, or something like that.
