Not being able to understand how women can be attracted to fat guys

I have always been a skinny guy and I'm not saying that you can't be skinny and ugly but I've always been average looking if not above average looking. I would get some rejections when I was younger but I have always had at least one girl that was interested in me. But in my last relationship I started to gain weight and the girl didn't mind but my friends told me that she's out of my league bc of her appearance. <br><br>So I started to go to the gym and gained a decent amount of muscle and lost fat but nobody was interested. I don't understand how women can find fat guys good looking and I'm not saying that I'll never find a girlfriend bc I'm sure I will. But I don't understand how it's possible bc I look way better than I did when I was skinny and still get no rejections.
