Why do cashiers like me (who have to sit on camera and issue bans) hate us?

I have no idea we're like a tiny minority, it would seem we're a very small percentage of people and am not sure why they're terrified of us. I have had to ban so many people I've never seen before, like I'm not sure what you're doing on camera but you do you, you are being BANNED like I'm not sure what's worse if they can't see me or if they can and they still don't care. It's so strange. If I had a dollar for every time we've banned someone for shoplifting I could probably retire.
