so i’m addicted to cleaning cleanin bb guns and bb guns on the whole. I have around 150-200 bb guns and many many years ago I decided to give my first bb gun a full cleaning, the best I can. I bought many of the best solvents and lubricants I could find (wd-40, white lithium grease, etc) and found a few cleaning methods in a book and on the internet. it took a while to clean that first one, but once I was done, I felt real good. over the years, I would clean each bb gun I had every year or so, or dust them off when I would get a new bb gun. but now, i’m on a quest to clean every bb gun and rifle I have, at least once a week. I don’t know why I do it, but it seems soothing and gives me a sense of accomplishment. I have a whole dedicated space in my house for all of my bb guns, so it takes up a fair amount of space. I found a cheap cleaning solution at a local store that is quite good on bb guns, and a cheap scotch brite pad that is great for cleaning off any rust (there’s always some).

anyway, i’m just curious if people like me exist, that obsessively clean their bb guns and rifles. I don’t have any races or competitions planned, I’m just doing it out of habit and curiosity. does anyone have any favorite cleaning products or methods? I use baking soda on the metal parts, and a mixture of water and rubbing alcohol for the wooden parts. I am very careful not to scratch whether them in the process.

edit: bb guns are bb guns, not airsoft guns or pellet guns. bb guns can only shoot bb’s. anything that shoots a pellet is a pellet gun, and bb guns cannot fire pellets.
