Question for more experienced thieves

What’s the deal with the cheap ass tvs they’re selling these days? Like the ones that are supposed to be 50-100 but are secretly $700? What’s the point of them? Do the companies that sell them know they’re gonna be stolen? Why do they even bother selling them in the first place? And why does it always seem like the cheap ass tvs are the ones that have those stupid tv boxes on them with the sensors? Why would a company think they’re gonna get away with selling a $700 tv for 1-2% of the retail price? Is the prices just to make it seem like they’re a better deal when it’s really just a scam?
