Amazon CEO Andy Jassy says the company will lay off 9,000 employees in the next few weeks.

Andy Jassy:<br><br>Following the announcement in November, we started making more cuts in January. We are announcing an additional 9,000 roles we are eliminating between tech and non-tech units in our core business. I’m sorry for those impacted and for their families. We will support these people through this transition and go through it quickly so that they and the rest of the company can move forward fast on the priorities for customers and the business.
