My (25F) gay friend (25F) just found a bf, and she wants to live together, she has a 12 year old son and I'm a mom of 2, and we both don't want her to do this.

She has 50% custody of her son. I have 50/50 with my kids, as does my husband. My kids are 8 and 4, and my friend's son is 12. She is currently living in a studio apartment and is moving to a 1 bedroom apartment, and wants us to watch her son when she and her bf go out, and she wants us to pick him up from school, as he will be walking home from school (she lives in a safe area, and the school is a short walk from her apartment).

This is a problem because my husband and I both work full time, so we don't have a lot of time to be watching her son, especially when we have our two to deal with. Also, we are tired of picking up our kids from school and having to deal with their shit, and we definitely do not want to deal with someone else's kid as well. We also have a tight schedule on Fridays, as my husband has to pick up our kids at 3, I pick up my niece at 4, and then I pick up my kids at 5:30 and my husband has to pick up his sister at 6. My kids need to be bathed and in bed by 8:30 on Fridays. This would not work with having to pick up her son and having her drop him off randomly at our house.

We don't want to ruin our friendship over this, and she is stubbornly refusing to change her plans. She is also going sky diving for the first time on Saturday.

I just can't stand this shit. I'm tired of my friends having kids and then thinking that I'm obligated to watch them. My friends and I don't have a lot in common anymore, so we mostly only hang out when one of us needs to vent about our kids or vent about our husbands. Also, it just seems like they don't think about the consequences of their life choices and how it will impact the people around them, and they just don't seem to think about anyone else, they just do whatever the fuck they want, and expect us to deal with it and support them through the shit they put themselves through. I'm tired of being taken advantage of by my friends, and I'm tired of not having a social life.
