Guy from the Gym

I have been going to this gym for a few months now, and everyone seems to be pretty cool. The environment is very chill and everyone is usually in their own world. I go at 4am every day because it's just so much easier than having to rush in the morning before work, and I don't really like having to go to the gym after work because I have already worked out my morning routine.

There is a guy that I have seen a few times, and he always seems to be around whenever I am there. He is somewhat tall and skinny, with brown hair and blue eyes. One morning he was sitting on the bench next to me and I noticed he kept looking at me weird. So I asked him if he needed anything, and he said no and walked away. He was a couple machines down from me the whole time I was working out, and it just felt like he was watching me the whole time. When I finished my workout, he was on the way out and he said hi. It was just weir but not creepy weird.

The following weeks he was in the locker room with me. He was in the stall next to me, and for some reason he wasn't wearing any clothes. I thought that was kinda weird, so I just watched him out of curiosity. To be honest, it was like something out of a bad movie. He was just walking around naked, and it made me feel like I was in prison or something. Usually, men will at least cover up when they are walking around, but he was just walking around like it was nobody's business.

After that, I started to notice that he was around even more. He even went to the same class as me. It's called "Pound" it's just a work out to metal music while you hit drums. It was actually pretty fun. He was right in front of me, but he kept looking back at me which made me feel uncomfortable. After the class was over, I went up to him and asked if he worked out at the same time every day. He said 4am-7am is when he works out every day. I asked if he went everyday, and he said yes. He then looked at me and said "So, you'll see me everyday". He smiled a little and walked away.

I felt like something was a little off, so I decided to tell the gym staff about it. They said they would keep an eye on him, but nothing really happened after that. I continued to go at 4am, and he continued to be there. I started to feel like something was going to eventually happen. The environment in the gym just wasn't the same as it used to be. One day, I received a message on Facebook from him. I confirmed it was him by sending him a friend request just to look at his pictures, and he had pictures from the gym. The message was very basic. He just said "Hi". I replied with a "hi" just to see where it would go. He started asking me about my workouts, and how I liked the Pound class. It was just very basic questions and conversation. I could tell he didn't have any bad intentions. I just think he was interested in working out with me, or maybe even dating me. I did send him a message asking if he was gay, and he said no. So, I'm not really sure what his intentions were.

Now, here is where it gets weird. I moved to a different gym because I just didn't feel comfortable going anymore. I still go to the gym at 4am because it's just the best time to go, and it fits my morning routine perfectly. I was doing my leg day, and I was on the leg press machine. I was in the middle of my reps when I heard a noise. It sounded like a weight was dropped, but when I looked up nobody was around. I went back to doing my reps, and then I heard it again. I looked around, and I thought I saw a shadow move out of the corner of my eye. I was a little spooked because my heart was beating pretty fast from working out. I thought nothing of it, and went back to my reps. When I looked back up, he was right in front of me just staring at me. I screamed at the top of my lungs because I wasn't expecting to see him at all, let alone right in front of me.

He quickly got up and ran away. I didn't see where he went, but he was gone in an instant. I still to this day have no idea how he got behind me, or where he even came from. I was literally shaking, and my heart was beating faster then it was during my workout. I received a message from him on Facebook that night. It said "Miss you at the gym". I didn't reply to it, I just deleted it and continued on with my day.

It's been several months since that has happened, and I don't go to the gym at 4am anymore. I actually go to the gym at 5pm. It's not as convenient, but at least I don't have to worry about him anymore. I also don't go to the same gym as him. I went to the one on the other side of town. I did look up his Facebook page randomly just to see if he was still active, and his profile was completely gone.
