I have been married for five years now. I had thought that the love of my life had finally found her match in me. My dear wife, "Bridget", was everything that I had ever wanted and more. That is, until six months ago, when my world came crashing down.

Turns out, Bridget was cheating on me with her long time boyfriend. Or at least she was trying to. She took the most direct route she could to his house, but every time she tried, she would end up turning back block before she even reached his street.

I did plenty of research, and it turned out that she was going to the gym instead. Once she would arrive to the gym, she would meet up with one of the personal trainers there. Bridget would leave a fat tip after every session.

I went to the gym with my phone, and filmed Bridget and this guy. I even filmed them together in the locker room. I gave the video to Bridget's boyfriend, and he confronted her with it. Bridget told him that it was all my fault anyway.

We fought about it, and then she made a comment about how she is unfaithful. She said "I am genetically unfaithful. I have been that way my whole life."

I asked her to elaborate, but she just repeated herself. Then she said that as a woman, she is programmed to be unfaithful. "You should have seen this coming", she said. That is why she was so nonchalent about the whole thing.

I told her that women are just as monogamous as men, and that it is just as easy for them to be faithful. Then I told her that the claim that women are genetically programmed to be unfaithful has been discredited by science. That just left me stunned and speechless.

Then she said that I was a loser for believing anything that scientists said, and that they are just a bunch of losers who can't do their job.

I told her that if she cheated on me, then our marriage was over. Then I left.

I am in the process of getting a divorce, and now I am wondering if I ever had a chance. Is it true that women are genetically unfaithful? If so, is there any way to overcome it?
