I take my coworkers lunches

I’m a college student. I work as a server and often have to arrive an hour before my shift starts to get ready. This takes place in a restaurant that’s connected to a hotel and there’s a walk-in fridge where employees leave their lunches.
For the past 5 months I’ve been taking any leftover food that I find there. It’s usually sandwiches or salads or snacks. Initially I was expecting other employees to get mad or something not once. I even got a takeout container full of leftovers twice.
Edit: I use it all. Make a snack out of it, take it home to eat or take it to class.

Edit 2: I’ve been living with my sister since covid started. I pay her rent, groceries, internet and Netflix in exchange for a room. She often uses all of our groceries. I stock snacks up but they go quick. I do get paid but it’s not a lot since tips are low. I would rather have money for anything else than food.
