Tesla could face a tax penalty of $350 million over allegations that it underpaid its taxes in Indiana in recent years. The Fort Wayne Journal Gazette reported on Wednesday that a valuation review by the state’s Department of Local Government Finance found that Tesla owes more in taxes for its operations in the state. Tesla has the option to accept the review’s findings, appeal them, or reach a settlement. The Indiana Center for Investigative Reporting reported in October that Tesla was under investigation by the state for allegedly underpaying taxes by $70 million.
