The isolation has got me on edge. My friend Jennifer is trying to keep me sane.

Ok, I know I don’t have a past history in this town, but Jennifer is my oldest friend. She lives in New York and I’m in California. We met when we were little and kept in contact ever since.<br><br>I’m starting to feel like I’m going crazy. There have been a few timelines that baffled me. I’m going to list them out here. I’ll put what I know, what my friends say, what Jennifer says and what my conclusions are.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>**Timeline #1: Buffy the Vampire Slayer**<br><br>- What I know: Buffy was created to be a female action hero, but the show never really took off. It never went past season 1, and they never made a movie.<br>- What my friends say: It was created to be a female action hero, but it did well and got 7 seasons. There’s also a movie that predates the show.<br>- What Jennifer says: I’m right on this one.<br>- Conclusion: It’s not real, but it doesn’t matter, there are bigger things to worry about.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>**Timeline #2: Jennifer’s Husband**<br><br>- What I know: Jennifer is married to a guy named Ian. She loves him and I’ve never met him. She wanted to wait for us to be in the same town before I met him.<br>- What my friends say: I’ve never heard anyone talk about Ian.<br>- What Jennifer says: She’s married to a man named Gabe and has been for 4 years. She has 2 kids.<br>- Conclusion: I don’t know what the fuck is going on. Jennifer and I are the only people who know the truth. I’m not sure how to handle this, but I’m glad that she knows what my truth is.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>**Timeline #3: COVID-19**<br><br>- What I know: It did some damage early on, but it wasn’t that bad. We’re in the process of eradicating it.<br>- What my friends say: A lot of people got sick. We had to shut down society. It’s starting to die down and we’re starting to go back to normal.<br>- What Jennifer says: It came and did some damage, and did a second wave, and a third wave, and now a 4th. A lot of people got sick, and a lot of people died. We still have a shit ton of cases and the leaders of the world try to convince us that it’s not a problem. The US has the highest cases and the rest of the world is baffled at our stupidity.<br>- Conclusion: I don’t know what the fuck is going on. I’m going to go with Jennifer on this one. She’s a nurse, she would know more than me.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>You know, shit’s fucked up. If you’re out of work, quarantine, if you’re essential, you know what to do. I’m starting to think that I did not get dropped off in some dystopian future, hell, I think this is the real timeline, and I’m just fucking insane.<br><br>I don’t know what’s real anymore. Coronavirus? Vampires? I did some research, and unless it’s some stupid meme I haven’t seen Buffy, the show. I did some more research and found that, yes, Buffy was real, and it was exactly like my friends described it. Now I really do wonder, am I the insane one?
