The police reform movement has the momentum to actually change the world, and it seems that this is the closest we have ever come to actually getting significant change and police reform, and potentially defunding the police. Looking at many of the proposed plans across the US, they all seem to involve giving more money to welcomed alternatives, like mental health services and social services in general, and putting less money into actual law enforcement. I think this is an overall positive change.

However, if you support these alternatives, you should also support providing healthcare to all. Healthcare is in a way, a social service, and it should be treated like one. If we are putting money that was going to police into social and mental health services, we should also be giving everyone access to healthcare.

I see a lot of people who are for police reform and giving more money to social and mental health services being against socialized healthcare and healthcare for all. That doesn't make sense to me. Healthcare is a very important social service, and everyone needs it. We should all have access to it, especially if we are putting money in other social and mental health services. Healthcare is a very important mental health service for example, and I think everyone deserves access to it. If we are able to give more money to social and mental health services, we should also be able to give everyone access to healthcare.
