My student was killed tonight..

I’m a teacher in Florida, of 1st grade. One of my kids, who was in my class last year and was a sweet boy, in 2nd grade now, was killed in a car accident tonight. His mom is one of the cafeteria ladies,, and he was a kid who always smiled and loved everyone. <br><br>I’m not crying yet. I’m in shock. But I feel like I’m going to cry a lot tomorrow. I don’t know how (or if) I’ll tell my class. I know I have to be a professional. But I need to get through this. <br><br>If you have advice on how to deal with this internally and how to talk to my class- I’d appreciate it.
