I'm an experienced male stripper who has worked in a variety of clubs. Most of the time I'm told I'm too flirtatious or I'm being a "fuck boy" even when I'm just doing the bare minimum.

I've worked for clubs that had strict rules on not being too flirtatious, but this has always been with female owners. The male owned clubs are the ones that let their strippers flirt. The male owned clubs are also the ones where you get paid very little and you have to pay to work.

I've had managers and DJs call me out in public for being flirtatious or they think I'm flirting with a girl that's not my regulars. I've had regulars call me out for flirting with other girls in front of them.

I've had girls call me a "fuck boy" when I'm just doing my job. They tell me that they don't want me to "flirt" with them or that I'm "too easy going" and that I need to be more serious. It's usually these same girls that come up to me at the end of the night and ask if I want to hang out.

Most strippers will tell you that you have to be a lot more flirtatious than you would be in a regular job in order to make more money and get more tips. You have to make the girls feel special and you have to make them believe that you're interested in them. Most people won't tip you unless you make them feel like you're giving them something special.

A lot of people call me a loser for being a male stripper. They call me a whore and say that no normal guy would do this job. I've been told that I'm disgusting, that I'm below them and that I'm not a real man. I've been called a "chick" and a "slut" by both guys and girls. Most people who talk to me like that have never met a male stripper in person.

These are the modern stereotypes associated with male strippers. Guys think we have all the sex we can handle, we're all wealthy and we don't have problems like regular guys. Reality is most male strippers are broke ass guys who can't find stable work and have to rely on tips. The vast majority of us aren't having as much sex as we want, but we have to rely on performing for women in order to get any.

Most people who talk to male strippers only see us as a stereotype. They don't think we're actual people.

Lots of guys say they would do my job, but they don't realize how hard it is. A lot of the jobs that exist in the private sector pay less and require you to do more. Most of the jobs that exist in the public sector require a degree and a bunch of qualifications that are hard to get. Being a male stripper is one of the worst jobs you can get in terms of pay and respect. A lot of guys have degrees but still do this job because they have no other options. A lot of guys would talk shit about my job, but they don't realize how hard it is.
