CMV: we should all be required to work in healthcare for at least 2 years, much like we were previously required to join the military.

Brutally honest: I am a male, American MD and I have dedicated my entire career to helping people. I am sad to say that it is time for a change. I used to think that everyone wanted to help their fellow man, but after this we should all be required to work in healthcare for at least 2 years.<br><br>Edit: wow, this blew up much faster than I anticipated. Thank you for your interest. I don't know if this is the fix for society all, but I sure feel there needs to be a change in people's perspective. I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.<br><br>Edit2: I realize this won't be feasible for everyone. Old, disabled ect. But for most of my generation I feel this would have been beneficial and help us be more empathetic for others.
