What exactly did the Germans think the fate of the German Military Forces and Germans would be after winning the war?

If say Germany won the war against the allies, what did they think would happen? There is literally no way the US and the rest of the allies would allow a new German Empire to form with all its military might. They would have to be demilitarized. Would the govt of Germany be allowed to continue? Would they lose all their overseas colonies? I just don't see how the Germans thought the war effort would be worth it.
