(Trigger Warning) I can't figure out why Instagram took down my post. It's a picture of me and my boyfriend who is skinny and it couldn't be more wholesome. I also can't figure out what the reason was because the post was deleted it before they sent me the message.

[Trigger warning: I am a plus sized woman and if that bothers you, then I suggest looking away because this post, like every post on this page, is about a fat woman]

I had just taken a picture of me and my boyfriend for Valentine's Day and I posted it on my Instagram. Just to make it clear, my boyfriend is skinny.

The post was down for maybe 2 minutes before I got the message from Instagram. I thought that the post was deleted because of the reasons I stated, so I took to Twitter to vent. It ended up going kinda viral and I got a bunch of messages from people saying they were confused and the post didn't break any rules.

So, I asked Instagram why it was removed, they said that my post was removed for bullying and harassment. Now, I want to make it clear that I never condone bullying or harassment and I never said anything in that post that would warrant it being taken down.

So, Instagram, I want to know why you took down my post. Is it because I'm fat? I know that you have a history of deleting pictures of fat women. This is just the latest in a long line of fatphobic actions that you have taken in the past. You are actively excluding people like me from your platform and that is messed up.

So, I'm going to say this again. This is the latest in a long line of fatphobic actions that you have taken in the past. You are actively excluding people like me from your platform and that is messed up. Also, you need to sent context to the people that you are giving out these messages too.

Edit: I should add that my boyfriend is as confused as I am.
