Im an addict. Why is it so much harder to get treatment than the actual drugs?

Im sick. So i went to a clinic to seek help for my addiction. They said they saw so much of it everyday and i needed to hit rock bottom. Where in the world is there help for people like me. Why is it so difficult to get help for my addiction than it is to get more drugs??
