What the fuck is wrong with the current state of politics?

Just a vent from a 20 year old who is trying to understand what the fuck is currently happening in the US.<br><br>Trump is an idiot. I was not a fan before he ran, I’m even less of a fan now. With that being said I do not believe that he is the bastard that some people believe he is. I don’t think he is evil, he is just a moron.<br><br>That being said, Biden was my choice, and the choice I thought would end up winning. I have second guessed my own decision since he won the nomination though, and I am sulking just a bit that the election did not end better for me. Honestly though I’m glad the election is over, and I have to admit when Biden won I felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders.<br><br>As for the current situation the Republican party is in now, thank god. I’ve been saying for months now that if Trump doesn’t win the election the Republican party will be in shambles for years to come as Trump was not a Republican, he is a narcissist who ran under the Republican ticket because it was the route of least resistance for him to become the president.<br><br>In the last few years politics have changed though, and I don’t get it. Republicans are running around screaming and crying about how the election was rigged because Trump is saying it was, and Democrats are screaming that Republicans are all idiots and maga supporters.<br><br>I have never in my life hated politics more than I do now, and as a person who has always been extremely interested in the subject I don’t want anything to do with it. I don’t understand how everyone is acting, and I don’t know what to do to try to change it.<br><br>The results are in, Biden has won, the election is over. I don’t understand why Republicans and Democrats are still fighting like they are. I believe the problem in part with the US is the two party system, but that is a topic for another day.<br><br>I don’t understand how republicans can believe the election was rigged with zero evidence. I don’t understand how Democrats can have put Biden as their candidate, someone who is a career politician and is known to make mistakes. Biden is also in the later years of his life, and has had very mixed opinions politically in the past.<br><br>It’s crazy to see how divided the country is now, I’ve never seen it like this. I’m not saying that I am the person who knows what is right, but I wish we could get to a point where we can all understand that at the end of the day we as a country should be the ones making the decisions, not the career politicians.<br><br>I wish the system was set up in such a way that money didn’t play such a big roll, and I wish that the politicians weren’t locked into the two party system. I also wish the politicians put the country first, and didn’t focus on their party first, but again that is another topic.<br><br>I just don’t know what the fuck to think of politics anymore. The system is fucked, the politicians are fucked, and the country is fucked. I have never been so disappointed in the US, and never have I cared less about the results.<br><br>&#x200B;
