I installed an AI app on my phone that warns whenever it hears something that sounds like domestic abuse. Is this safer for women or detrimental?

I saw an ad for it and the concept seemed intriguing, and it was on sale for $2 so I thought, "Why not?" I don't know anyone who's been a victim of domestic abuse, but if I happened to be out and about and happened to be near a domestic dispute it might be useful.

It's been about a month and it hasn't gone off, but I started thinking about it. I posit the following:

If a guy is beating up his spouse and my app goes off and I call the police, I could be putting the spouse in greater danger, or the spouse may not want to press charges.

If a woman is beating up her spouse and my app goes off and I call the police, I could be putting the spouse in danger of being wrongly arrested or shot, or the spouse may not want to press charges.

If two men are fighting and beating the shit out of each other and my app goes off and I call the police, it might help prevent death or injury.

TL;DR: Is this AI app more likely to help in same gender fights than in domestic abuse situations?
