Apologies if this doesn't fit neatly into this sub or has been covered in other posts; it's been a difficult few days personally. I'm interested to hear your thoughts, so please do share them.

Lets go back 15 years. I bought my house with a 95% mortgage for £145,000, I put down £7,500. 15 years later the house is worth £410,000. I have paid £83,000 in interest and about £100,000 in principle so the outstanding mortgage is about £55,000.

How should I have played this? It feels like I have been taken for a ride somehow.
