The media is adding more words to the list of words that are offensive.

Red Flag, Misogynist, Chauvinist, Sexist, etc, etc. <br><br>Recently I was at work and talking to a coworker and I said 'guy' and one of my coworkers said, 'I'm not a guy'.<br><br>I asked 'what are you then?' They said 'I'm a woman' so I said 'you're a guy'. <br><br>She said she wasn't a guy. I asked why she wasn't a guy. She said 'I'm a woman'. I asked, 'when did you go through a sex change?' She said she hadn't and she's just a woman. I said 'so you're a guy'. She said 'I'm not a guy, I'm a woman'. I asked again, when did you go through a sex change? She said she didn't, but she's a woman. <br><br>I said, 'no, you're not a woman, you're a guy' and she said I don't count as a guy because I'm a woman and we don't use 'guy' to refer to women, so you're misgendering and using homophobic slurs.<br><br>I said, 'how am I using homophobic slurs?' She said 'you're using the word guy, which is a derogatory slur against women'. I asked how she got there and she said 'you're just being sexist, misogynistic and homophobic'. <br><br>I asked 'how specifically are you using these words? You're using the wrong definition'. <br><br>She said, 'you're a sexist and misogynist'. I said, 'a sexist is someone who discriminates based on gender; a misogynist is someone who hates women' and you're neither.<br><br>She got angry and said, 'I'm not? I'm not? Why aren't I? That's what I am!' I said 'you're not a sexist or misogynist, you're an ignorant, woman with no brain' and she said, 'that's it, I'm going to tell my husband'.<br><br>I said, 'go ahead, report away, I don't care' and she said, 'you shouldn't say things like that'. <br><br>Then I got called into HR and they told me I was sexist, misogynistic and homophobic. I said I wasn't, but they said they had been told I was and they believed them because 'people don't lie' and I was the one who was lying.<br><br>I asked, how do you know? 'how do you know she's not lying?' The HR lady said, 'I don't know'. I said 'well, do you know how many years I've been working at this company?' She said 'no'. <br><br>I said, 'you don't have any more information about her than you have about me; you're just using an assumption that I'm a liar and she's telling the truth, but that's sexist'.<br><br>She said, 'no, it's not'. I asked, 'why?' and she said 'because it's not'. I asked, 'how is it not?' and she said, 'because'. <br><br>It's a lost cause. Women are the ones who are gaslighting everyone else and creating all the social and cultural problems. <br><br>I stand with women 100%. Do you?
