AITA for refusing to give my son a 10k loan to start a business?

My son has been travelling throughout Asia for the past four years. He recently sent me a message saying that he has fallen in love with a woman who works at a noodle shop in the town he has been living in. He said that he wants to start a restaurant as well because he believes that he can do it better and that he wants to know if I can loan him 10k to help him fund it. <br><br>I never knew that he had any interest in cooking, so I told him that it sounded like a bad idea. He has never worked in the food industry and from my experience, it is very hard to run a restaurant. I told him that he should try working in one first to get an idea of how it works and that running a business is not the same as working in a business. <br><br>He sent back a message saying that I was being stubborn and that I was old and out of touch. He then said that I didn’t do everything that I could to help him and that I should just send him the money if I really cared about him.<br><br>I am a little surprised that he would say that I haven’t done everything that I can to help him. I paid for his college and helped him get a good job. I also give him 500 a month to travel as well as paying for his car insurance and phone bill. I thought that I had been patient with him as well. His mother passed away when he was 11 and I am the only parent that he had left. I took a smaller role at work and changed my schedule so that I could be home more often and make sure that he had a parent to come home to. <br><br>AITA for not sending my son money to start a restaurant?
