I am a small business owner, and I can no longer support this country.

I have owned and managed a small restaurant for the past 12 years. I have worked extremely hard, and been very responsible with my money. I have had to lay off 15 employees today, because the government shut us down due to the pandemic. I am not complaining about having to shut down, the government is doing this to keep people safe. My point is that I have done everything right. I started a business to be my own boss, 12 years ago. I have worked like a dog every day since. Being my own boss has made me very responsible. Here's my problem. For the next 8 weeks, I may not be able to make a payroll. I am very concerned about the fact that the government is not going to support my employees. They will ultimately support the big businesses that have done nothing but exploit this pandemic. I can no longer get behind this country. I am a capitalist. I believe in competition. I am starting to believe that the only thing that matters in this country is wealth. I am not a millionaire. I am not a billionaire. I watch as they get more and more wealthy. My employees are struggling. I am not much better off. I am better off than my employees. 12 years of my life, and I still have nothing. I hate this place.
