Most of you were too young to remember this, but in the late 80s, there was a big problem with lead poisoning in the majority of the big cities, with Philly being one of the worst. This was because of the poor condition of the lead pipes. In 1991, President Bush was asked to sign an executive order to make the federal government responsible for the lead pipe replacement in cities, which of course he denied. <br><br>The government doesn't want to fix the pipes because lead is a great way to control the population. When lead is ingested in the bloodstream, it causes long-term brain and bone damage. Imagine how much more difficult it is to fight for your rights when you have lead in your blood, it's enough to just cover up the pain. When you have lead in your system, you're not a threat. <br><br>This is what Trump did to Flint, Michigan back in 2014. Flint, Michigan is predominantly black. Most of Flint's population lives below the poverty line. Trump felt he had an opportunity. He lobbied and bought his way into the government and was able to make it so that the water for Flint was being pumped directly from the Flint River, which was one of the most polluted areas in Flint. Lead is a byproduct from pollution, and now the water was being pumped directly into Flint's water supply. It was a great way to control the population, and Trump didn't give a fuck. <br><br>Trump is no joke.
