Idk how to feel after finding out my boyfriend has a crush on my best friend. (long)

I have been dating my boyfriend for 3 years, we love each other and I receive so much love and care from him. My best friend I have known since we were kids and we are also really close. We are all in our early 20s. I never thought there was anything wrong with having a best friend. We are all aware that I date my boyfriend and I never thought that needed to be stated. <br><br><br>My boyfriend told me about a week ago that he has a crush on my best friend. He said he thinks she is beautiful and has a crush on her. He said that it doesn’t matter since I am his number one priority and he will never act on it. I still love him and he is a great boyfriend. I still love my friend and I want us to be close. I just don’t know how to feel about everything that’s going on. He has been acting normal and still treats me exactly the same. I just feel like this is an issue because he is allowed to like whoever he wants but my friend doesn’t know. It feels like it can lead to an affair if he ever acts on it. It feels like he has broken a boundary with me because I thought it would go without saying that I wouldn’t want him to have a crush on my best friend. But he is my number one priority and I don’t want to end our relationship. This is all so confusing.<br><br>What do you think?
