I am a university professor, and I am not allowed to require masks in my classroom. What the actual hell?

Our school is requiring faculty to teach in person. And students/teachers are not required to wear masks. I just don’t even understand what the frick is going on. I am supposed to teach with no masks in the classroom? How many people am I supposed to get sick? How many of my students am I responsible for killing? What the actual hell?<br><br>Edit: I am in the US. I am also in a state with a reasonably high case rate right now. Many other universities in the state have a mask mandate. Our administration does not want to lose students to those other universities.
