What happened to anime?

I think the subject speaks for itself. I’ve been watching anime for a few years now and over the years the quality seems to be declining. <br><br>There are so many shows that seem to me to be of poor quality and that’s not just the animation but the writing, the story, the character development, the editing. <br><br>Apple of my eye, space Dandy, Location Hunter, Ousama ranking are a few examples of shows that I loved and am sad to see that the quality has seemingly declined in the more recent shows. <br><br>Particularly in the last couple of years, I’ve noticed a decline in the quality of everything. <br><br>I’m not just talking about the overall look of the shows but the story and characters as well. <br><br>I’m still watching anime and will continue to do so. I just wonder what’s going on for the quality to be declining like it is.
