I’m deeply embarrassed. I’ve never been much of a texter. I’ve always been a phone call person. I got a wrong number text last night thanking me for a wonderful time and how much they loved me. It was obviously some young person who auto filled my number or something.

Anyways, I got a text from my fiancé later saying how much she loved me and couldn’t wait to marry me. I replied, “I love you too baby!” Except I didn’t realize I wasn’t texting my fiancé until she responded with “who is this?”

Now my fiancé is wanting to call off the wedding. We haven’t even seen each other since, but she is dead set on calling everything off. She says how I don’t even know her phone number. But I don’t know anyone’s phone number. I never did. It always made sense to me to just have everyone’s contacts saved and auto fill them when texting.

How do I fix this? Our wedding was originally supposed to happen last year. But with covid and everything going on we decided to cancel. Now it looks like it might be canceled indefinitely.

I’m panicking a bit. I want to marry this woman more than anything. We’ve been together for over a decade and I just want to spend my life with her. And my phone fucked it up.
