I recently opened some power strips with wire staples holding them together. You can usually just pry them out with pliers, but I decided to use scissors to snip the staples, leaving two small pieces of metal still stuck on. When opening packages held together with wire, just snip the staples with scissors instead of unwinding them or using pliers to pry them out.<br><br>You can also use a side cutters but scissors is easier and less damaging to paint finishes.
