CMV: Anyone who wears earbuds in public is a rude, anti-social jerk

I don't really give a damn what you need to do to comfort yourself while out on errands but just being aware of your surroundings and the people in it is truly not too much to ask. I sure as hell can't go around blasting NPR 24\*7. <br><br>I'm not saying that everyone who wears earbuds in public is a rude, inconsiderate jerk but if you wear earbuds in public, you *are* a rude inconsiderate jerk.<br><br>**Edit 1:** Let me clear something up right away: I'm talking about *wearing* them, not necessarily playing music. I don't care if you want to block out ambient sound or if you want to dump a few brain cells while you wander around. I have a problem with you not being aware of your surroundings because of your 'buds.\<br>**Edit 2:** I'm not against earbuds altogether. Please see above.\<br>**Edit 3:** I understand the need (and some have made compelling arguments). You're still inconsiderate pricks.
