Do you believe in the boogeyman

This is super random but I had a kid tell me this story of how his friend’s dad was a doctor and a patient came in dead with no injury and he said it was the boogeyman that killed him and the doctors family had to move because it scared them so much and now I’m just sitting here wondering if there’s actually any truth behind it.
