I grew up around anime and manga, but my kids think it sucks

I don't know if this is a good place to open up, but i didn't know where else to go. When i was about 10 years old i had a friend who had a bunch of anime and manga she wanted to give away after a garage sale she had, and since i didn't have any games or toys i was excited to get them and take them home. It was all stuff like Sailor Moon, Inuyasha, Dragon Ball, Fruits Basket, Doraemon, One Piece, and a lot of older anime and manga too. Most of the stuff was from the 70s, 80s and 90s but it was enough to keep me entertained until i got older and got more into Japanese culture. I got more and more into things like video games, food, fashion, etc. To me it was just something that was a big part of my life but something i also really enjoyed. I got more into it as i got older and met other people who liked the same things as me after i moved to Japan. I got married to a Japanese woman and she likes anime too. Now we have kids together, a 7 year old girl and a 9 year old boy and they have forever changed my perspective on it. My son loves Mario, Minecraft and Roblox but my daughter hates anime and manga and will say things like "No, I don't like anime! I like REAL cartoons not pokemon or dragon ball!" My son will also say things like "why do you like anime? Its so boring!"<br><br>I've tried to get them into different things like Digimon, My Hero Academia, Yo Kai Watch, Beyblade, Tamagotchi, Tamako Market and Cardcaptor Sakura and they just aren't interested. They also refuse to try Japanese food like sushi or ramen and would rather eat chicken nuggets and pizza. The only thing from Japan they like is Pusheen and they think he is American. It makes me sad because i was gifted all of these anime and manga things as a kid and i fell in love with them. I thought my kids would also like these things but now im not so sure, and to be honest it makes me a little sad.
