My best friend is in danger and I need your guys’ help

I posted this thread a few days ago and in response to that, I got a very large amount of messages and PMs with tips, advice, and some very brave people offering their help. I want to first start off by saying that I really appreciate every single one of you that reached out to me. Unfortunately, none of the tips or leads you provided were helpful in finding these people and my best friend is still missing. I won’t go into too many details, but I have reason to believe that my friend is most likely being held by these people in the southeastern United States. I’m going to keep this post open as long as I can and any help would be appreciated.<br><br>**ORIGINAL:**<br><br>I need to preface this by saying that I’m not a native English speaker, so I’m hoping everyone will be able to understand my post. Also, I’m breaking a lot of my own rules by posting this here. I usually try to avoid advice threads, but this situation is so incredibly out of hand I don’t know what else to do. I’ve also never posted two threads in one day, so I apologize if that breaks any rules. <br><br>A few months ago, my best friend went on a road trip with her boyfriend and a few friends to the United States. She lives in Canada, so they needed to pass through the border to get to their destination. She called me that night saying that at the border, the guards were acting very strange and telling them discarding their marijuana (which was illegal at the time) would be okay. She said the guards were being very friendly and acting weird, so they didn’t throw it out. <br><br>She said that they were searched and swabbed down for about forty minutes before being let through. I was a bit skeptical that this actually happened, but she swears to me it did. That was a few months ago, but the other day, she came forward to me with a very disturbing story. She said that in their hotel the night after crossing the border, a knock at the door was one of the guards that had searched them at the border. My friend assumes that the guard had tracked them through her boyfriend’s credit card information. <br><br>Apparently, this guard had a few men with him and they took them in their car after showing them pictures of the hotel, but with some red markers drawn on it. Apparently, it was some sort of map and one of the rooms had an X marked in it, which he said was their room. My friend said they were told to act like it was a normal night, meaning turning on the lights inside the room and closing the blinds. Apparently, the guard then told them that his coworkers would be watching them from the outside and filming them having sex. <br><br>I don’t know if this is true or just some crazy story my friend made up, but I don’t see why she would make this up. Some advice would be greatly appreciated and any tips on these people would be helpful. If this is real, I don’t want these people to do this to anyone else. I don’t know how to go about this, because I’m not sure if this is real or my friend is just making this up. If you have any information or tips on these people, it would be greatly appreciated. If it turns out to be a made up story, then I apologize.<br><br>**EDIT:** Since I posted this thread, I haven’t heard from my friend. She was supposed to call me today, but she didn’t. I haven’t been able to get any calls or messages through to her and I’m really starting to get worried. I don’t know what to do and I’m in a panic. Please, if anyone has any information on this, please help. I want my best friend back.
