It's not the Syrian refugees...

...it's the white men that are the real threat to women.

A new study released by the National Institute of Justice finds that 3 out of 5 college campus rapes are committed by athletes on campus. At least one study has found that this is not because athletes are more violent, but because athletes on campus are more likely to be protected by their colleges and universities when they commit crimes.

Are you shocked? I'm not. In the United States, women are raped more often by white men than by any other group of men, and white men are more likely to be acquitted of rape than any other perpetrators. Syrian refugees have not been connected to a single rape or sexual assault in the United States, but that's not the real topic of this thread...

...the real topic is the fact that so many people on Chambers are convinced that the Syrian refugees are the real threat to women, and that they don't need to think about the white men on campus. This is nothing like the discussions that women have there about the real risks that women face, which include white men.

The problem is that too many people are so terrified of being called racist that they are willing to put their heads in the sand and ignore the real risks that women face.

Edit: To all of you that are downvoting this post, that think that colleges protect athletes and fraternities because of racism...you are wrong. We know who the real danger is on campus. Do you think that because black men are more likely to be jailed for rape that colleges won't want to protect white men who commit rape? That's not how racism works.

Edit 2: Or maybe it does. Maybe people who are afraid of being called racist are so blinded by their fear that they are willing to protect their own racist stereotypes by blaming black people for the fact that colleges protect white male perpetrators of rape.
